Any of you guys been to Superior Seafood? Thinking of going their our first night to introduce the wife to New Orleans food – oysters, crab, alligator, gumbo, etc. We like seafood a bit more than meat (I think Cochon might be too meaty for us).
Any other recs for a place like this or is Superior Seafood pretty good? Someone suggest Jack Dempsey's but the online reviews make it sound unsanitary (dust all over, rats/roaches running around).
Going to Lüke for happy hour before. And Peche the second night for dinner.
- Superior is omg AMAZING! Get the bacon wrapped shrimp. They also have best margarita in town (add gm & amaretto)bliznutty
- Parkway Bakery was always my favorite spot for poboys. off the beaten path for tourists, since it's in midtown. i've never been to superior seafood, sadly!sarahfailin
- if you like oysters, you can really get your fill in new orleans. http://nola.eater.co…sarahfailin
- Superior has a special with oysters for $0.50 per oyster. that's a lot of oysters for you!sarahfailin
- I know! Lüke also had $0.50 oysters when I was there 3 years ago but I think they raised it to $0.75. So good though. A bargain compared to LA.CincodeMayo
