    One of my favorite cities in the US. If you get a chance, see if you can be around for a 2nd line parade on Esplanade and in/around the Treme neighborhood. Go all the way up and check out the City Park too, it's really amazing and huge and great for people watching.

    Walk around and do some touristy stuff in the French Quarter, but please make time to explore beyond it. I found the Garden District really interesting, for example. Obviously get the required beignet and muffaletta sandwich at some point, but also try to get a fancy dinner, like at Peche, or even Commander's Palace.

    I wish I were there now!

    • prepare for your digestive system to take a hit though, because it's easy to eat really heavy foods that you might not be used tomonospaced
    • Johnny's has a good dressed beef po' boymonospaced
