Last Friday a big tornado hit a small city south-west from Montevideo, killing 5 and injuring 200, and destroying every single house of the city.

However, I have not seen or read anything about the most scary and remarkable aspect regarding this episode: it's the first time in 200 years (the time since Uruguay was founded), that a tornado hits Uruguay.

Today, the National Institute of Meteorology issued a red alert for what seems to be probably dangerous winds and floods... Hopefully just for precaution, cause it's the first time this happens here, so not even the National Institute of Meteorology has the tools to determine the scale of the tornado, and it's not prepared to forecast what may happen in the next hours.
