Why does my local Apple store have two security guards just hanging out near the entrance all the time? What could they possibly do? They cannot arrest people.
- There are usually 2-3 more wandering the store. They are often off duty cops, some carry concealed weapons. If caught stealing you get taken to a holding room.duckseason

- They can only detain you if they are absolutely sure you stole something. Either with video evidence or witnessing the act.pango
