FWIW, finally dug into this book. Great inspiration and resource if you feel stuck making music, in a rut, or uninspired.
- It's not ableton-specific either. They just published it.sublocked
- Just downloaded. Picked up a Kindle this weekend actually, it's getting me to read more often with less distractions (ex iBooks)mg33
- And, I'm in this same jam, trying to get focused and actually get some songs fully finished.mg33
- i have it, never read it yetautoflavour
- mg33 & autoflavor...I just cracked it after having it for months. Wish I would have read it earlier. Very inspiring. Don't cheat yourself.sublocked
- nice, thanks for the link.ApeRobot
- Getting into it this evening for sure. My big problem right now other than time is trying to narrow down a focused sound for what I've been recording.mg33
- I veer into either a mostly instrumental guitar, limited synths sound, or a mostly synth sound, with textured guitars.mg33
- I like both, but I need to find that perfect blend of both and let that be my focus. The exploration is half the fun; just want to be productive.mg33
- Examples: Guitar focused: Rough recording - http://mg33.net/musi…mg33
- Example: Ambient / synth focused: http://mg33.net/musi…mg33
- i like the tone of the guitar...reminds me of red sparowes / jesu ...real dreamy / almost surf soundsublocked
- or another band i like "irepress". combining the synth with that is fresh.sublocked
