I've seen a few users asking about how to go after a job interview or after sending your resume. Some people will go nuts after a week if they don't hear back from the agency that is hiring.

Agencies that need someone ASAP will do exactly that, hire someone as soon as possible. (see what I did there?)

Not an expert, but I've been there and this is what you can do:

    • After the first week, send a follow-up email

    • After 2 weeks and you still haven't heard from them I hope you have other interviews elsewhere coz you will go nuts waiting.

    • 3 weeks in and you're still waiting for an answer, just move on.

Hiring someone takes time, specially if the position you are applying to is being recently created.
If they are replacing someone that left or got fired, that can be faster but sometimes the agency see that as an opportunity to cut back on budget for 2 or 3 months (or so) unless they REALLY need a replacement.

    Just my two cents...

    • legit. i have gotten jobs after placing a phone call in the first week to the person hiring/supervising and expressing my 'sincere interest' and qualificationssarahfailin
