I like the idea of Kanye West - someone so belligerent and idiotic that he simply cannot accept failure. Standing on the mixing desk screaming the lyrics of All of the Lights while the volume liquefies the furniture. Or designing a line of clothes and sneakers so banal they twist back around and become iconoclastic.
But, of course, the reality is far more punishing. Although, the way that some people act it's as if he broke into their house, killed the dog, shit in the fridge, and threw rubbish all over the garden.
