After listening to the Blackstar album a few times, I was hoping he wasn't lyrically speaking in first person. Last night I waited in a short a line at 285 Lafayette with Lazarus on repeat in my headphones. I have many other favorite Bowie songs that have gotten me through rough times but Lazarus... on a cold walk through New York at night. It felt like the song was written for that moment.
- I'm not a big fan of the new album, perhaps it and or some of the songs will grow on me in time.utopian
- Yeah, it's not immediately accessible.jagara
- wow just wow. The only other time I felt this way about a song was hurt by Johnny Cash_niko
- @_niko, you mean Hurt, by Nine Inch Nails, covered (fucking terribly, btw) by Cashmonospaced
- I thought cash did a better version than Trent. And I'm a huge NIN fan...pango
- yeah I know, but it suited cash perfectly, loved it._niko
