    2012 I bought a Mac Mini two months later, Super Bowl Sunday 2013, someone broke into my house and stole a lot of things including Mac Mini .

    That ordeal had a lot of side plots like me getting a possession of marijuana ticket when the Cops got there cause I called them , my house just got broke into , but that is a post for another day

    point is I had the box for the Mac Mini with a serial so I gave that to the Cops. Turn out they send those to pawn shops and pawn shops have to run pawned items against some hot list

    so the guy that pawned it got caught , for 3 years I tried to get that Mac Mini back

    one day I get a random call from the County D.A. he is going on about how the guy that stole my stuff got caught again for some other shit and bla bla bla , all this time I was like so about that computer they recovered can I get that back .

    almost 3 years later I got it , I had to get 3 papers signed a Judge release , a D.A. release and a release form the detective that was on the break in case . They held it as evidence for a long time .

    I had locked it via Find my iPhone as a device and now I was like fuck I had forgot the password and I know there are photos on there I would like to have saved.

    But that only works as soon as it gets connected to the net , worse I was like shit I know I put a log in password , I prob forgot that password too.

    I plug it in , and I just hope I don't get locked out 3 years later , the fucker was on sleep mode still and booted right into the desktop . Right away I go to my password file and make sure I grab it . Unplugged for 3 years and it boots up right where it left off ....
