Resevoir Dogs is entertaining enough. Pulp Fiction is a modern classic, and will stand the test of time. Jackie Brown is not bad. Kill Bill is good fun, nothing too original. Django Unchained is a bit boring, more of a genre picture, nothing special.
But, Inglourious Basterds is a masterpiece of modern cinema, one of the greatest films of our time. I could go on and on about it. It is near perfect, if not perfect.
So, if he makes a few duds or even just does nothing good for the rest of his life, I'm still going to put him as one of the best writer/directors. Inglourious Basterds, it's his masterpiece.
