This thread kinda belongs in the "first world problems".

We have it good in Canada and in the states. Go to Mexico to check out the Black friday deals (or "good weekend" as they call it.

A screen that goes for $1000 US, goes for $1400 down there any given day. A month before black friday stores bump up the price to $2399 and on black friday they put price tags to show the discount from $2399 down to $2200 US. A month later, it goes back to its regular price of $1400. And forget about seeing discounts that go beyond 20%. It's all like 10% on crap that was increased in price like 50% just before black friday.

    • Thats the same strategy most stores in the US and Canada use as well. Bump up the prices 200% and then put 50% sale tags on.Milan
    • that's nutsscarabin
    • Plus it's mostly old shit. It's a repackaged warehouse sale event.ETM
    • @Milan There's tricks everywhere, but Mexico is another monster. You gotta see it to really believe it. It's obscene. It's not even remotely close.VectorMasked
