I don't understand the hate towards changing your profile pic. Sure, it doesn't stop a single terrorist but it shows that we're not willing to accept those acts without batting an eye.

    • Same.
As well, being of French extraction, it's a personal thing for me.

    • i'm guessing the main complaint is over why one incident over another. Why no russian flag after the the recent airplane crash or the two beirut suicide attacksBluejam
    • on thursday. personally, each to his own.
you would of thought by now such pedantic hate is pretty much chump change compared to the bigger issues at stake

    • In fairness, though, I do get the point of the flag thing. And it's true, it's hypocritical to fly the French colours, and not the Lebanese or Russian ones.Continuity
    • Nonetheless, people aren't being intentionally that way, I don't think. Certainly not in my case.Continuity
    • i wouldn't criticise, but flying a french flag in response to a tragedy claimed as revenge for french foreign policy would seem to support the policy... but reakingsteven
    • ally it's just people who don't know anything about such things. personally i wouldn't like a national flag flown in respect of my passing.kingsteven
