My dad just gave me this knife called "facón", a traditional gaucho knife. It's a Zarzabal steel 400, hand-crafted, 7,8" blade, with a very simple, hand-crafted leather cover. The haft is 100% silver, with gold settings... For a classy asado :P

    • it is a collaboration between the fire arm manufacturer armeria zarzabal and nieto cutlery, and the steel is 440 stainless. zarzabal is not a kind of steel

    • No problem. It's a cool knife with a cool story. I don't use 440, it's edge retention properties aren't to my liking and it is a bitch to get a workable edge

    • On 440 a and b. Unless it says 440c than it is a or b. Other than that, cool piece, it's not worth more than a hundred bucks so you might as well use it aroun
