bump for doing CAD work on iPadPro with a Pencil
- It can't run real software. Get a Surface. I can't imagine the "pencil" helping with cad, you need a mouse and keyboard to be fastformed
- Same thing for 3Dformed
- in the keynote there was mention of 3d CAD software that is currently exclusive on the iPad Pro********
- The new simultaneous finger touch and pencil movements I imagine are big improvements in drafting such as the virtual ruler********
- No capacity for using x-refs, libraries, pen sets, layouts, importing, exporting, printing... Using an iPad is probably the worst format for CAD and 3D.face_melter
- Fine if you need a viewer for being on site or at meetings - those already exist - but serious design work? Never in a million years.face_melter
- What face_melter said. Ruler seems nice, but you can just click from one point to another for a perfect line, so it really is pretty useless.formed
- The iPad is nice as a toy, sketchpad, etc., but w/o OSX it's just a toy. Maybe that will change, but for now it's just a bigger version w/ a stylus.formed
