Who was labelled nuts for calling Saville a paedophile? Icke? Icke was labelled nuts because of all the other stuff coming out of his mouth, not that.
Not sure how familiar you are with British media in the 80s and 90s, but there were plenty of people pointing the creepy out in Saville. Plenty.
