damn stuc - that is a mad generalisation of NT...not everyone on here is an asshole.
Like every internet design/web forum (NT, YH, US etc..) there are those here to help, those here to be assholes, and those inbetween...
Most people find it enough to post things once..and not keep bumping their own thread up continuously...that's just bad manners.
If you think everyone here is an asshole then it's simple - don't post. Or, you could chill out and just respect that it's going to happen, and rise above it when it does, or just ignore it.
