Found a mint condition, unused Pentax P3 from 1985 at a consignment shop on vacation up in Wisconsin last week. Came with a 50mm f2.8 and a 35-70mm f3.4, camera bag, and all manuals for $75. Such a nice score. When I got some film for it and opened up the back, it still had the adhesive decal that said "remove before first use" above the film tray.

Going to use it for black and whites, which I've wanted to do for a while. I'm always a little opposed to converting digital shots to B&W because I rarely ever think about them in the context of B&W for composition, and since I always shoot in Raw on my Nikon.

    • wow, looks good!Ben99
    • I started setting my Nikons to B&W in-camera, shooting RAW. It's perfect: the image shows up in BW on the screen, but LR brings it up in colour to convert.

    • But, obviously you should still shoot film because film is fantastic and you'll learn a lot. I'm just saying that BW on digital RAW is also cool.
