    our own galaxy, a bigger one, hosts about 300 billion stars. there are maybe one hundred billions of galaxies in the observable universe. the universe is pretty homogenous, meaning wherever you are / look, it’s the same.
    there are 8 planets revolving around our own star, the sun. most of them have moons. we can’t see other planets and moons very far away because they don’t emit any light.
    the notion that there is no "life" (what’s the definition anyway) out there, and humans are the spicial snowflakes of the universe, seems pretty medieval to me – like thinking the sun revolves around the earth.
