    • Firing people is the fastest way to create jobs. Every politician who campaigns on "jobs" knows this.

    • The more you fire, the more people will be looking for work. They'll take a new job with lower pay & less status because they have no choice.

    • Then you can say to the media, "Look, we went through a rough patch, but we've managed to reduce unemployment in the past few months. You're welcome, America."
