Basically I'm wanting to build a CNC-type rig with some fairly heavy-weight stepper motors, so I want a high end Arduino that can process quickly and has enough ...capacity... to receive a large instruction set without falling over too easily.
Will that do?
Not too bothered about cost, I'd rather the get the most appropriate thing now, then run with it.
