I loved the segments Great Moments in Presidential History, Stupid Pet Tricks, and the Hello Deli games with Rupert Jee, and occasionally Dave himself was even funny in his bits and interviews. I'm sad to see it end but it was ready for a new host, and I can't wait to see Colbert.
Letterman has $400m and loves his NASCAR racing team, it will be interesting to see what he does next. I doubt we will ever see Paul Shaffer again.
