I have one, but it only works on kids. Older kids will figure it out, but that's part of the fun, too.

Deal cards face up in a grid. Any square number is fine, let's say 16 cards. So, 4 rows of 4 cards in each row. Ask the kid to choose a card but to not tell you, instead they should point to the row that the card is in. Collect the cards, making sure that the row they chose is on the bottom of the deck. Deal them again, this time horizontally, so that the original row is now at the bottom of each new row. Ask them to point at which row the card is now sitting in.

At this point you know what card is the one, so you can do whatever you want. Pick the cards up and make sure their card is either the top or the bottom, as long as you know where it is in the deck.

I like to put them face down in groups of 4. Then ask the kid to pick two groups at random. Then one group. Then split that group into two and have them pick again and so on. If they pick the group with their card, discard the others. If they pick the group that doesn't have their card, discard that. It's all very simple. Keep doing this until there is only one card left, their card. Flip it over.

If one kid figures it out, don't let them explain how it works. Instead just tell them to show you the trick. It's more fun that way and then they can do it on their friends later.
