Instantly disintegrating would be my way to go, hopefully they didn't know or fear anything was wrong.
Here one second, gone the next, no pain, no suffering.

- Unfortunately they did know...the plane descending 31,150 ft in less then 7mins. Thats almost a vertical descent.utopian

- apparently descent was 18 minutes not 7-8 - so thats why there was no panic until right before crashfadein11
