I'm also thinking of moving to LA from NYC.

You can't underestimate the personalities and the vibe between the two. LA can be pretty vapid and laid back. Two qualities that rankle me. Can't deny the quality of life increase though. Influx of hipsterdom from Brooklyn and Portland have made the arts and alt culture scene much more interesting this past decade.

highly recommend drinks at The Perch downtown, specifically their new rooftop patio.

    • Don't move to LA if you can't shed the NY uptightness. Just sayin, Most people from other states feel NYk'ers ruin things with the disease they pick up from living in the city to long. This a warning because you put hipsterdom and referenced culture, in which 2 are opposites of each other. thus the warning where you can self reflect so you dont take your unwanted baggage with you. seen happen many times from transplants.yurimon

    • What yurimon said. Ive been her 18 years from Brooklyn and it took me like 6 years to stop wanting it to work like NY. MY wife hated it for about 10.ArmandoEstrada
