The thing is, he's just not very good at articulating his ideas. If he were, he'd be less hated, I'm sure.
For every time he has said something that makes sense (about art, design or celebrity culture) he's said a hundred things that didn't make sense.
Regardless, as far as I can tell his ideas about celebrity and art, etc are really not amazing, he's not saying anything new. But what if you compare his ideas to what other celebrities are talking about? I'm serious. What has Katy Perry or Snoop Dogg or Jennifer Aniston or Jay-Z or any celebrity ever said that was of any importance? It never happens. Kanye is the only celebrity that talks about shit like art, design and celebrity culture itself.
Other celebrities only talk about themselves, or say obvious shit that is non-controversial. They're protecting their own brand. They're all boring, useless idiots.
And of course a lot of what he says is just controversial shit intended to keep people paying attention to him. Have none of you ever heard of publicity? Don't you all work in advertising? Kanye gets the news (THE FUCKING NEWS!) to talk about him. Have any of your advertising campaigns ever made the evening news?
