You can still pick up Apples old Cinema displays new and used from 20" - 30" from Amazon fairly cheap. $180 - $490.
I picked up a 23 for home use. I wouldn't have done it had I not seen a video of Draplin rocking 2 of his own. It's still a great monitor. I've used Dell, LG, Acer, I always had trouble with viewing angles. Especially a top to bottom design on Dell. The colors were always different depending on the angle you looked.

- I use a cinema display and a thunderbolt for myself and my wife. I love them and see no choice until the "Display SE" arrives...
