Apple TV's AirPlay function would drive me into Apples arms if I had an iPhone or would use iTunes.

- yes, its like a monitor via network but pretty slow, not recommended for gaming or watching movies. I'd like to have it for musicmekk

- you can stream the video file just fine with all 3 of them, but mirroring your computer desktop is something different.mekk
- only the Apple TV allows TV to become an external displaymonospaced
- I find that it works really well when I stream movies from my iPad. The only issues I've had have been related to connection speed.Glitterati_Duane
- streaming a movie from the iPad is not the same as streaming your whole screen content w/ sound etc.mekk
