Quote it per update whenever you get an update and know what actually needs to be updated. Don't do hourly, never charge hourly for anything actually, you're screwing yourself (coming from someone who's been doing this for almost 17 years. You learn your lesson with hourly). However, provide them with sample costs for an example update to a section on the site.

    • Base your costs on value instead.fyoucher1
    • ha - so your costs are never based on how long something takes? weird.fadein11

    • Google it, many articles about this.fyoucher1
    • that only makes sense if you are charging nothing per hourformed
    • Again, Google it (ie. "Freelance value based pricing"). You're doing it wrong.fyoucher1

    • I did hourly for years when I first started out. Let's just say I'm super glad I'm not doing that anymore.fyoucher1
    • We are talking about revisions, right? Not the website initial price, which, I agree, is a flat feeformed
    • Doesn't matter, never do hourly.fyoucher1
