Martian "soil" is sand and pebbles. Earth topsoil is full of organic matter. They aren't remotely comparable. When scientists refer to Martian soil, they only do so to distinguish it from rocks and dust.
- hadfield's point is there are resources (carbon, hydrogen) on the moon. not that you can plant flowers there.scarabin
