Tomorrow (Nov 4th) is the annual running of Australia's Melbourne Cup - The world's richest 2mile handicap horse race.
This is known as "the race that stops a nation". No, literally. Everybody stops work at at least 12pm for the 330pm race.
If you are a tourist currently in Australia I suggest you get on your best gear and bowler hat, ladies get frocked up, and head into the city for a day of fun and serious drinking/banter!
One of my favourite Australian traditions, up there with Anzac Day.
I will put a bet on Red Cadeux for a place/win and Lucia Valentina for a win! Wish me luck! ;)
