^ Not a surprising pick. The president, just as any president in his position would, follows the advice of the CDC. The Republicans, as all politicians do, are using this as a political opportunity to attack the presidents handling of this situation. Best to appoint someone who's good at politics since disease control and prevention policy is driven by the CDC anyway.
