    you're right,still there's a "Hospital officials said the patient does not appear to have any symptoms of Ebola" which hints at a negative criterium of some kind. perhaps the author forgot to mention the negative test or made a mistake in the title, or the article got edited afterwards, etc.

    my money is on sloppy reporting, they screw up worse every day, especially in online-reporting. maybe you can find the announcement verbatim, doctors and gov officials usually are very careful and precise with their statements, especially in situations like these.
