Damn... I'm not upgrade eligible until February 23rd, 2015. I guess that makes sense... you can upgrade every 2 years right? I got the iPhone 5 on Feb 23, 2013 (a great day considering I found out I was getting laid off that day).
But I smashed my phone's screen on vacation a few weeks ago, and it'd be $100 or so to get a new screen, so maybe I just subtract that $100 from the non-upgrade price to feel a little better about it?
