I applied for the program I mentioned before. He said photos would be fine so I made an interface of 20 random photos.
Then he rejected me because they "lacked a theme". I don't think he liked that they were digital either.
He said, "Why does the world need more images?" As if his were justified. Meanwhile the class next door was studying an old guy whos whole career was taking photos of his old naked hairy body??
He also said if you have a fulltime job don't bother. You have to dedicate 100% of your time to this program.
That was a crappy experience but I'd rather have an MFA in Design anyway than digital art.
I would like to have a portfolio so perfect that I could get into any school possibly even with scholarships.
