I do understand the concept of many murders. in a fit of rage, person A kills person B and an hour later he is remorseful for his/her actions. had he/she not had immediate access to a gun, the anger may have subsided before this person would have had the time to concoct another plan for offing their nemesis.
guns are a lot like drugs. they are going to find themselves in the hands of the wrong people one way or another.
because this is the reality, i would think the idea of abolishing guns is futile.
