What do you mean they're 'changing the narrative'?
They've spun it out as as best as they could plan, so quick — ‘Russia is to blame for meddling in a neighbouring state’, so they get to blame Putin for free. When the truth outs and this horrific affair is blamed on a cock up, the blame will sit with the Russian-aligned actors, leaving a smear of culpability dirtying the Russian reputation.
Nothing's changed, nothing's amended or evolved.
Ukraine gets sympathy and carte blanche to maintain its own subset of atrocity in its East, Europe pushes sanctions and America gets to export more gas. Poor ol' Russia's left looking to China and the BRICs, who won't do anything because the status quo suits them just fine.
Win-win-win and win again.
It's almost like some of you lot think that our political class don't know what game they're playing...
