Bleh, I've had to take expired passports along to validate temporarily issued ones beforehand. And whilst my passport's a fucking scuffy mess (my folks live near a border, so I have to keep it in my pocket daily when I'm home), loads of people from Blighty who don't ravel much all have pristine passports, in plastic sleeves, which stay buried safely in the bottom of their travel baggage when they use them once or twice a year.

As I said beforehand - in an environment like where this plane crashed, the first thing pulled out of the wreckage will be passports, money and cards. there's really no fucking conspiracy there, at least.

    • the point is more about how pristine they AFTER a plane crashbenfal99
    • Yeah, my passport has plenty of stamps and is near new conditionformed
    • yah, Ben - I kind of get that and took it into account, hence 'bottom of travel luggage' = padding.detritus
