Haven't watched it yet, but I wouldn't disagree with the basic assertion.
There are plenty of problems here in the UK, most of them as far as I can see being a result of a shower of irrelevant idiots being voted in as temporary experts every 4 years whilst battling an underlying administrative base.
Why anyone with half an iota of sense or more thinks that democracy, as it is now anyway, is any use whatsoever is beyond me.
