I look at it like this....I need a new mobile device. My desktop is my beast, 30" monitor, numerous computers networked, 32gbs ram, etc., etc. BUT I still need something mobile.
My iPad is lovely, but more or less useless. It is a SUPER expensive e-reader, nothing more can be done on it (it is great for presentations and showing video, which is why I haven't upgraded my ancient laptop).
I love the idea of a tablet that has power and keyboard when needed, which will be a fraction of the time. Laptops look lazy for video presentations, iPads look nice but are useless beyond that presentation (and reading/browsing).
I suppose it is just me and those that I know, but this is what we've been waiting for (more or less).
Don't worry, Apple will copy it eventually, right after they make a Beats headphone w/ 5c colors.
- I hear ya. Good points.
But there are tons of people who find the iPad useful beyond just reading/presentingmonospaced - And would you really say Apple copied them if they made the iPad larger?monospaced
- They'll need one with OSX, I want full programs, others do tooformed
- I think if Apple finds a way to make OSX useable on a mobile device, they might do thismonospaced
- but I don't expect them to do so until it's a good user experiencemonospaced
- the battery life alone on the S3 is atrociously bad, for examplemonospaced
- I hear ya. Good points.
