    ^absolutely

    bare foot running is a brilliant way to learn how to run right. naturally start on grass, and practice, then move to harder surfaces and wear vibram five fingers for protection.

    you forget just how gentle your foot fall is when you dont have a huge piece of sponge under your heel.

    generally the more experienced the runner the less padded their shows need to be, as they know to land on their feet properly, not stamping onto their heel every step ruining their knees and ankles. thats what my triathlete tells me anyway!
