UX updates to systems we use always feel weird at first. That said, after a couple of weeks, I hardly notice the changes (even the ones I was initially skeptical of.)
And if you look back at the ones we were once comfortable with, they often seem pretty clumsy.
So, I figure it's easier to just trust that they're going to do a decent job—because the folks at Apple probably know a lot more about building operating systems than I do.
Besides, the amount of innovation on the desktop is so minimal these days. As such, my life probably won't change much no matter what they do.
Unless they make it like Microsoft Bob.
