So I'm guessing that the ability to deactivate the tracking systems is a safeguard in the event of hostilities while in the air, to try and save the plane and passengers from danger (plane being shot down from the ground or air), but it this case it worked against them.

- me either but let's just say a rogue state declares war on the world, and they shoot down a plane in their airspace, and threaten to_niko
