The main motivator for me getting my own place was really because I was just fed up with sharing my shit. All the shared spaces were filled with my furniture, TV, and things, and when I got home and my roommate(s) were using my stuff and not contributing anything—like a rug, or a chair—I would get grumpy.
Nothing was more liberating than getting my own place, which is important for any guy who wants to have his own life.
