BoozyBeggar: "Cool idea, but also a little weird, since there's a lot of indications that Middleearth isn't round"

    Death_By_SnuSnu to BoozyBeggar:
It isn't round in certain periods. After the sundering, the world is remade and the straight road to Undying Lands is cut off. Eventually when elves are given the right to return, they can take the straight road to the Uttermost West, but a mortal would simply make a round circuit of Earth and never find their way there. So essentially there's both a round and flat version of Middle Earth existing simultaneously in the 3rd Age and beginning of the 4th. After the last Elf has departed Middle Earth, the way closes up, and the Undying Lands exist in kind of their own realm outside of normal geography (basically heaven), so it's essentially only round after that

    Akatsuki744 to Death_By_SnuSnu:
I want to shake your hand and congratulate you right now.

    ....Fucking nerds.
