    ^ Monitor because higher resolution. Affordable TV's only have fullHD and this is too low when sitting in front of it.

    Second: tough one. Rumors are that Xbox One gets a price drop soon (new white console is coming, with no bd/dvd drive). Atm Xbox has better game lineup but Japan has slightly better graphics. All of this can change withing weeks. I'd wait for Chrismas '14 to get myself one, only buy if you really need one. Also both consoles are almost not available now
