From what i gathered from the Satanic Bible (granted i only read a third of it before i got bored), Satanism is more of a negation of Christianity (and i suppose other religions) than it is a religion in of itself.
So, essentially, one could see this proposal for a Satanic statue as counteracting the presence of the Ten Commandments statue. A statement of "Be careful what you wish for" to those who ok'd the presence of the Christian statue.
One thing is for sure, it'll look a lot cooler than the Christian one
