so what you're saying is that plugging my guitar directly into my mac's audio-in jack would overpower the sound and therefore lose quality. right?
and usb devices somehow interact better and keep the quality up?
what if i have a preamp on my guitar and can turn down the gain there? does that not help?
i'm also on an acoustic rather than electric.
