if you wanna know what miike is all about, check out the shinjuku triad society trilogy first. and i agree, audition is not one of his best. or if you're not into that stuff then checkout bird people of china or happiness or the katakuri's.
and yes, gozu is hilarious, and great. the tattoo (junkyard) scene is class!
