    I'd be careful about secondary cryptocurrencies. Also, it sounds as if you're new to it. Be careful. There's a lot of theft, and you should really read about securing your coins as you retrieve them, onto an encrypted cold wallet. Theft is a major issue these days, and there is no FDIC insurance.

    If you're interested in Bitcoin, the easiest place in the states I've found to use is Coinbase:

    I recommend getting a wallet such as Bitcoin-qt
