It's because you get invited to all the parties, tennis, golf and so on events...
...your work consists of making new friends for the company, then 1 day a week you get back to the office, take a look at all the work done by the junior designers, chose the best ideas, mix them up a bit and present them as your work to the ceo and your new client friends.
